Citadel Insurance plc declares a bonus of 5%

Citadel Insurance plc has announced a bonus declaration on the Perla Protection plan of 5%, the highest level of bonus that has been declared this year in the local market. This bonus will be credited to the policy account of all Perla Protection plan policyholders as at December 31, 2005.

The Citadel Perla Protection plan, which was launched in 1999, offers a guaranteed return of 4.5% on the invested premium. As with all with-profit plans, the level of bonus declared is dependent on the performance of the underlying investments. Since the introduction of the plan in the local market, Citadel has successfully maintained consistent bonus declarations by adopting a prudent investment strategy.

A core element of the Perla Protection plan is its inbuilt flexibility which offers a wide choice of life, disability and accident cover coupled with a choice of premium benefits to match the individual's financial commitments.
