Tottenham's new Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov believes the London club can challenge England's top four this season.
Martin Jol's side have been impressive in pre-season and start with an away match at Bolton Wanderers today. The 25-year-old Berbatov, who turned down a lucrative offer from Manchester United to join Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen, believes they can take that form into the new season.
"We've played many pre-season friendlies and the most encouraging thing was that we've won all of them but one," he said.
"I know there are no easy games but I feel confident. We have very good players and I think we can finish among the top four and qualify for the Champions League."
Berbatov, three times Bulgarian Footballer of the Year, believes Chelsea will be the team to beat.
"They are favourites to win the title again," he said. "They are the best team and I can't see any team to take their place at the top."
