I am here on holiday for five weeks and after being taken for a ride by a bus driver who charged 50c from Mellieha Bay to Mellieha village and paying Lm20 for a horse drawn ride at Valletta, I am not impressed. I also noticed that the road works seem to be done very slowly - if they were done in the evening they would be done quicker.

The people of Malta seem to be very friendly but put them behind the wheel of a car and they go nuts. After all is said and done, I quite like Malta and will return, but my wife said she would rather go to Gozo as it's less of a building site.

Is it not time for the government to act seeing that tourism is on the decline?
