KPMG Malta, the local practice of the global professional services firm, has announced the appointment of a new associate director. Dr Wim van Vuuren has been appointed associate director within the Advisory Services function, and will be focusing on further developing the firm's business advisory service line.
Dr van Vuuren, who holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science and a Ph.D. in Technology Management from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, joined the Malta practice of KPMG in 2002. Since joining KPMG, he has been leading key projects in the areas of strategic planning, business development, organisational development and restructuring. He also holds a strong interest in innovation management, an area in which he has published internationally.
Dr van Vuuren is a member of the Malta Institute of Management and lectures strategic business planning and development.
Dr van Vuuren is married to Dr Gemma van Vuuren Cassar and has one son, Max.
