HP recently announced the shipment of the 100 millionth LaserJet Printer, a milestone representing HP's history of quality, reliability and innovation. For more than 20 years, HP has introduced laser printing products and innovations, leading to the significant growth and success of its LaserJet business.
The LaserJet printer, launched in 1984, was like no other printer available at that time. It was designed to provide desktop PC users direct access to their printers. This innovation fit on a desktop and produced fast, letter-quality output with virtually no noise. The LaserJet printer quickly became a standard office tool.
As the primary printer for a small business or company department, the LaserJet printer was ideal for letterhead correspondence, memoranda, financial spreadsheets and other applications. It had high print quality, could print horizontally or vertically in a variety of character fonts and could produce graphics.
HP LaserJet printing solutions have changed the way people conduct business, communicate in the office and market products and services. Today, HP is the worldwide market leader in laser printing, offering the broadest range of business printing solutions from home office to large enterprise products, services and solutions.
