Manchester United have until today to appeal against likely three-match league bans for Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes.

The FA received late on Wednesday the referee's report from the Dutch FA into the pair's dismissals during last week's friendly against Porto. They are due to miss games against Charlton, Watford and Tottenham, though because of the delay in receiving the report they are free to play in the season-opener against Fulham on Aug. 20.

United have indicated that they are planning to appeal against the charges.
