The Institute of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Malta, in conjunction with the Aquatic Sports Association (ASA) and Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport (KMS), will organise a foundation course in coaching, starting next October.

The ASA will be inviting Italian instructors to conduct sessions on the technical part of both waterpolo and swimming during the course. Those who conclude the course successfully will be given a coaching licence by the ASA.

The ASA council has resolved that, as from the coming season, anyone wishing to take up coaching in waterpolo (all categories) or swimming must have a valid licence issued by the ASA or they will not be allowed to assist the teams during competitions organised by the association.

Those interested in applying for the course can do so at the Institute for Sport and Physical Education (National Swimming Pool Complex) by August 18. One may obtain more details by sending an e-mail to adriancamilleri@gmail.com or asaofmalta@vol.net.mt
