The Mark Spiteri Lucas band will perform at the BOV Streets Alive main stage in front of the law courts in Republic Street, Valletta, today from 7 p.m.

The band, composed of Mark Spiteri Lucas on piano, his brother Ivan on saxophone and vocals, Joe Vella on bass and Jesmond Baldacchino on drums, are all backed by years in live entertainment as well as taking part in family programmes on television. They will play various styles of music ranging from Latin to pop and jazz.

The BOV Valletta Streets Alive events include a number of performances by street musicians and live bands performing in Republic and Merchant streets.

There are also painting sessions, a vintage car show, a karate exhibition and a table tennis tournament.

Visiting hours to a number of museums have been extended while shops, cafeterias, bars and other catering establishments are operating beyond their normal opening hours.
