Something needs to be done about the lanes opposite the row of showrooms (starting from Tikams) as one approaches the turnings to Sliema and the Regional Road. There the road splits into four lanes, two of which lead to Sliema and the others to the Regional Road via the traffic lights or towards Valley Road, Birkirkara.

There is the urgent need for a centre strip along this stretch, where drivers switch lanes without any consideration for other drivers or regulations. Everyone thinks they have the right of way and as a result I have been close to collisions several times.

I feel that just after Tikams, next to the monument, a central strip should be built so as to organise the stream of traffic, before a tragedy takes place.

We need to be proactive, i.e. think about what could happen and prevent it from happening. I appeal to the Malta Transport Authority or the Msida local council to take heed.
