Two Libyan men were yesterday charged with assaulting and slightly injuring two police constables in San Gwann on Tuesday night. Aboubaker Elmeksawi Abdussaiam, 26, and Omar Ali Masoud, 27, were also charged with disobeying the two officers.

They pleaded not guilty and were remanded in custody.

Police Inspector Carmelo Abdilla prosecuted.
