Horses in the sun

I was shocked to read and see the photo of those beautiful horses left standing in the hot sun with no cover (July 27).

Surely the SPCA and the government should not allow this to happen.

I am Maltese but live and work in Bermuda and as in Malta, we have horses and carriages for our tourists when the ships are in. And like Malta, it is very hot in Bermuda. Our horses and carriages are under a canopy made of canvas and there are water buckets for the horses.

I appeal for the horses to be treated like any human being.
