I was a passenger on the Air Malta flight from London that was diverted to Paris on Wednesday night. The crew behaved exemplarily and at no time was there any feeling that we were in danger.

The problem started once we had disembarked. There was total lack of information as to what was to happen to us. At no stage during the time we were at the airport either that night or next morning did we see the Air Malta representative in Paris. It is common sense that if you want to keep people happy, keep them informed and it costs nothing.

Also when people are tired, hungry and thirsty it is essential to offer them sustenance. It had been impossible to serve the meal while airborne due to turbulence. As we had to wait 90 minutes on the aircraft after landing, why were the cabin crew not instructed to serve the food and drink that was on board?

It is totally unacceptable that we had to queue for nearly four hours without any certainty that we would be put on either of the two scheduled Air Malta flights out of Paris.

The crew were wonderful and so were my fellow passengers, who were remarkably tolerant in the circumstances, but the care on the ground left much to be desired and Air Malta need to address this problem.
