He was quoted in the Spanish press on Friday urging Real to make a move for him before Arsenal open their Champions League campaign. But Reyes said he's happy at Arsenal. "I did not say these words," said Reyes. "I'll tell you once again, I am happy at Arsenal."

Start delayed: Bulgarian champions Levski Sofia's opening game of their title defence was postponed yesterday after officials said opponents Chernomorets Burgas had not adhered to league rules. The Bulgarian FA had agreed to newcomers Cogneliano changing their name to Chernomorets Burgas but ruled they had not met administrative guidelines. Officials said Chernomorets had failed to register a league requirement of five U-21 players from their youth academies as professionals.

Ibrahimovic: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has underlined his desire to leave Juventus by refusing to travel with the side for a pre-season friendly. The Swede is unwilling to play in Serie B next season and opted not to play in Friday's 4-1 win over Spezia. Juve boss Didier Deschamps said the striker will be punished. "I know that he has a knee injury and he hasn't been able to train properly, but I was counting on his presence," Deschamps said. "Now the club will take the necessary action."

Pope retires: US defender Eddie Pope called time on his international career. Pope, 32, is the third American to retire from the international stage since the US failed to progress to the knockout stage at the World Cup. Captain Claudio Reyna and striker Brian McBride have also bowed out.

United: Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes could be handed an early-season ban in the Premiership after referee Ruud Bossen reported both red cards to the Dutch FA following Friday's friendly 3-1 win over Porto in Amsterdam. Bossen's decision could trigger an automatic charge of violent conduct against both Manchester United players. If proved, the charges would lead to a three-match suspension imposed by the English FA.

Syomin: Former Russia manager Yuri Syomin quit as Dynamo Moscow coach following a 3-0 thrashing by city rivals Torpedo in a Russian premier league derby on Friday. Syomin's departure was the second in the last few days for the Moscow club following the resignation of general director Yuri Zavarzin.
