The 26th Farsons Great Beer Festival at Ta' Qali Park, ends today with a fantastic evening of entertainment.

Sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority and Vodafone, with XFM as its official radio station, the beer festival has been running for the past nine days, attracting thousands of visitors.

The evening kicks off at 9 p.m., with rising star Indigo on the main stage, followed by Malta's own king of rock and roll, Freddie Portelli. The rock stage will feature the well-known Chris D'Alfonso, as well as an inimitable performance by local rock band, Fakawi.

"The Farsons Great Beer Festival is one of the most exciting summer festivals, offering a free ten-day entertainment programme with wide audience appeal," Matthew Cuomo, Beer Festival co-ordinator said. "The festival has attracted people from all walks of life to enjoy the local talent and with no doubt, local and international beers in an informal atmosphere."

The 15 different bars offer Maltese and Farsons imported beer brands. The local brews including Cisk Lager, Hopleaf, Hopleaf Extra, Blue Label Smooth 'n' Creamy and the new Shandy Lager 'n' Lime. The great choice of international beer brands include Cisk Export, Carlsberg, Skol, Budweiser, Guinness, Kilkenny, John Smith's, Beck's and Corona.

The official festival mug has also proved to be a hit with visitors and is available from all the bars with a pint of Cisk Lager at Lm1.50, as well as with a pint of Blue Label Smooth 'n' Creamy, Hopleaf Extra Smooth 'n' Creamy, or Cisk Export at Lm1.70.

The Farsons Great Beer Festival is also supported by Algida, Global Capital, Exotique, Tuc, Hera Cruises and Danone.
