Premier League club Marsaxlokk made their second major transfer in the space of a few days after the signing of Nigerian Haruna Doda yesterday.

The former Birkirkara and Hibernians midfielder joins Mar-saxlokk on a one-year deal with an option for another season.

Last season, Doda was Hibs' hero after scoring the winner in the FA Trophy final against Floriana.

Marsaxlokk, who captured the signature of experienced central defender Luke Dimech last week, have only one other foreign player on their books - Andre Rocha da Silva. The Brazilian midfielder last season played in Division One for Tarxien Rainbows.

So far the club, with Briton Brian Talbot as their new coach, have offloaded foreigners Nuno Gomes and Wendell Gomes, along with locals Chucks Nwoko (Sliema) and David Camilleri (Valletta).
