HSBC Life's Personal Protector Plan is now offering a Premium Cashback option, chosen at the plan's inception.

The Personal Protector Plan is a life assurance policy that pays out a lump sum if death occurs within the chosen term of a policy. Usually, no benefit is paid should the life insured survive to the end of the term of the policy. Now, however, if the customer takes out the Premium Cashback option, and the plan is maintained to the end of its term and no benefit has been paid on death, then the customer will receive back the premiums paid throughout the policy term, subject to certain conditions.

Through HSBC Life's Premium Cashback option, customers can choose to be either refunded 100 per cent of all premiums, or opt for a 50 per cent refund at end of term. This means that clients can now benefit from comprehensive cover and enjoy a refund of premiums when the policy ends. The extra premium paid for the cashback option and any fees will also be included in the refund at end of term. The option is available on sums assured up to Lm500,000.

"People purchase life assurance for the peace of mind it provides them with, but when the worst does not happen, the money can seem an unnecessary expense. HSBC Life's new Premium Cashback option has been designed to address this issue, and gives our customers the option of their money back, as well as comprehensive life cover," said Richard Reid, managing director at HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd.

Further information on the Premium Cashback offer available with HSBC's Personal Protector Plan can be obtained from any HSBC branch in Malta and Gozo, by calling customer service on 2380-2380, or from the Website www.hsbc.com.mt.
