Pietà Hotspurs are the winners of the 2006 Carlsberg Tournament at the Hibs Ground after beating Marsaxlokk 1-0 yesterday to leapfrog hosts Hibernians at the top of the standings.

Anatole Debono scored the winner for the Hotspurs who were first with six points, two ahead of Hibernians and Valletta. Marsaxlokk finished last with two points.

Hibs fumbled their chances to win the honours after losing to Valletta 2-1 in the late kick-off.

Sebastian Monesterolo (3) and Justin Grioli (41) scored the Lilywhites' goals. Ben Camilleri had momentarily made it one-all after ten minutes.

Final standings: Pietà 6; Valletta 4; Hibernians 4; Marsaxlokk 2.
