The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is being held at the Upper Barrakka Gardens, in Valletta.

The festival, in its fifth edition, is enhanced by live jazz by Charles Gatt and his band, Steve Cole, Joe Brown, Claudette Pace and George Curmi. It runs until tomorrow.

Over 20 Maltese wines are on offer at the event. There are various food areas offering international dishes as well as an oyster bar, a focaccia bar and a wine sorbet bar.

For the first time, Delicata is commemorating the festival with a special edition wine called Kastilja, which is on sale.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi inaugurated the festival on Thursday.
