The Pembroke local council yesterday filed a judicial letter asking the authorities to accept responsibility for damage caused to two roads in the locality due to construction works.

The council addressed the letter to the Malta Transport Authority, the Water Services Corporation, the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and the Department of Housing, Construction and Maintenance.

It said works had damaged two roads and, despite having been contacted by the council, the authorities had not liquidated the damages.

The council gave them one week within which to accept responsibility for the damages caused and reserved the right to take further legal action.

Lawyer Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi signed the letter.
