Carlsberg Tournament

The 2006 Carlsberg Tournament comes to a close this evening when the final two matches are played at the Hibs Ground.

The race for top spot and the Carlsberg trophy is wide open after Wednesday's matches saw hosts Hibs drawing 1-1 with Marsaxlokk and Pietà recording a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against holders Valletta.

Top of the four-team table with four points, Hibs will win the tournament if they beat Valletta (bottom of the standings with one point), in today's second match.

Pietà and Marsaxlokk will look to bolster their own chances of topping this pre-season tournament by taking the three points from their direct encounter in today's opening match.

Standings: Hibernians 4; Pietà 3; Marsaxlokk 2; Valletta 1.

Today: 6 p.m. Pietà vs Marsaxlokk; 8 p.m. Hibs vs Valletta.
