When a person in Malta reaches 100 years of age the newspapers quickly report the event with photos and mention the names of those authorities who visited the centenarian to give their greetings. However, the photos and report refer more to the Maltese personalities rather than to the centenarian. Otherwise no mention is made in the paper.
