Obituary
CAUCHI. On August 1, at her residence in Mdina, RITA, aged 98, went to meet the Risen Christ comforted by the rites of the Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her nephews, nieces and their respective spouses, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves her residence today at 2.15 p.m. for the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mdina, where a Mass praesente cadavere will be held at 2.30 p.m. followed by burial at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Missions, Missions Office, 7/2 Merchants Street, Valletta, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Please remember her in your prayers.
Lord grant her eternal rest.
MICALLEF. On July 31, at St Luke's Hospital, JOSEPH, of Zebbug, residing in Birkirkara, aged 80, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Helen, his nine children and their spouses, grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

Part-Time Tax Rate
Persons benefiting from the 15 per cent rate on part-time work are to submit the payment and the appropriate forms by August 31.
Those persons who have filed the blue form and have received the tax statement for 2005 may benefit from the 15 per cent rate on their part-time employment by sending forms TA23 and AF. If the part-time work was from self-employment, individuals are to send forms TA22 and AF1.
Those individuals who have filed the blue form and have not yet received the tax settlement are to fill in form TA23 or TA22.
Persons who have filed a full income tax return and self-assessment may also benefit by submitting the forms AF1 and TA23 and AF1 and TA22 for self-employed individuals.
These forms together with the payment on any tax due on the part-time work, are to be submitted to CMU, Inland Revenue Department, Floriana or the Departments Cash Office, Block 5 by August 31.
All forms can be obtained from the department's Taxpayer Service or from www.ird.gov.mt.

Website To Help Sight
Radio RTK has re-designed its website www.rtk.org.mt to make it easier for visually impaired persons to make use of it by clicking onto the message which is found at the top of the website's first page.
A window will pop up enabling visually impaired visitors to become informed about the latest news, the day's programmes and the week's schedule, as well as read extracts of articles from the magazine Flimkien and other information.
Marian Pilgrimage
The Maltese branch of the Legion of Mary will hold a Marian pilgrimage in Sliema on August 12 at 7.30 p.m.
The pilgrimage will take the form of a procession from De Redin's tower in Tower Road to the parish church dedicated to Our Lady of Carmel in Balluta, where Mass will be celebrated at 8.15 p.m. Rosary will also be recited during the pilgrimage Everyone is invited to attend.
Fund Raiser
The City of London Bar, in St Julians, will hold a fund-raising auction and dinner for Amy Zahra who suffers from meningitis and needs prostheses. The event will be held on August 18 at 7 p.m.
Both the public and businesses are being asked to donate items for the auction as well as offering services such as painting, cleaning and gardening to help raise funds.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Cactus Meeting
The Cactus and Succulent Society of Malta will hold a meeting for all those interested in the cultivation of cactuses and other succulents at Din L-Art Helwa, Melita Street, Valletta on Sunday at 9.45 a.m.
Rene Zahra will open the meeting with a presentation on Aloe. A number of cactuses and other succulents as well as other plants will be on sale for members.
Power Cuts
The electricity supply will be suspended today in Bahar Ic-Caghaq, between 8 a.m. and noon, in Ridott, Anton Manwel Caruana and Xatt Il-Palm streets and parts of Xambekk and Sikka streets and in Sliema, between 8 a.m. and noon, in parts of San Duminku, San Piju V, San Lawrenz and San Trofimu streets.
Band Marches
St Andrew's Band Club of Luqa and St Paul's Band Club of St Paul's Bay will perform marches during the feast of Our Saviour, in Lija, on Sunday.
