The police arrested a man and seized a balaclava and two toy pistols yesterday morning in Hamrun.

The incident started when the police were tipped off about two suspicious young men who were spotted in Guzè Pace Street. When they got there they saw a young man who ran off as soon as he spotted the police.

The man was arrested after a chase.

The police said the balaclava and the plastic pistols were found later beneath a car close to where the man had bolted.
