Bank of Valletta is launching the BoV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery to support the concerted efforts to generate more business activity in Malta's capital city. The new lottery is set to add value to the BoV Streets Alive programme of events, which kicked off last Friday evening in Valletta.

All payments made by BoV cards (Cashlink/MasterCard/Visa) on any BoV EPOS terminal in Valletta until August 18 will automatically enable the cardholder and the shop owner to participate in the BoV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery. Attractive prizes, four Flyaway Tour packages every week for three consecutive weeks, are being made available by Bank of Valletta. Two tours will be won by the customer making the winning transaction. The other two will be won by the merchant on whose BoV EPOS terminal the winning transaction is processed.

Speaking about this initiative, Tonio Depasquale, chief executive officer at Bank of Valletta, said: "We feel that this is an initiative from which everyone stands to gain and we sincerely hope that the BoV Streets Alive Shopping Lottery will generate further business activity at our merchant outlets in Valletta.

"This initiative shows how BoV is fully involving itself in the organisation of BoV Streets Alive. We truly believe in this project and we are lending our full backing and support to ensure that these events truly contribute towards the main objective of reviving Valletta in the evenings through art, culture, music and shopping."

For four consecutive Fridays between 6.30 and 9 p.m. Valletta's streets will come to life with varied activities offering visitors the opportunity to soak in and delve deeper into the unique characteristics of Valletta. The possibility to shop late and to enjoy some of Malta's most pleasant catering facilities on the streets will also help in the regeneration of Valletta's evenings.
