Reimbursement of departure tax (1)

Since the departure tax was introduced merely for revenue purposes and, in the circumstances, is deemed to be out of line with EU legislation, should we not be reimbursed?

Branding Malta! How can we be the brand if we are being penalised every time we try to broaden our horizons and socialise by travelling abroad? Just leave us alone and stop dogging us.

Incidentally, why does the scheme for low-cost airlines cover only November to March? Cannot we have the choice any month we like to travel? This island is literally a jail.
