Valletta's main streets came alive yesterday as the first of four BOV Streets Alive Friday activities got under way with live entertainment and an opportunity for buyers to shop late.
Over the next three Fridays activities will range from live musicians, visual artists painting spontaneously in the streets, children's entertainment, a classic car show and sport exhibitions. A select number of shops will remain open until 9.30 p.m. offering special discounts.
Restaurants will also stay open.
Museums will also be staying open, with last visits at 8.30 p.m.
Activities run between 6.30 and 9 p.m.
Streets Alive complements the Malta Arts Festival which will run until August 20 at the Opera House ruins.
Streets Alive is organised by the Valletta Alive Foundation in association with the Bank of Valletta.
