A second Arab national was helping the police in their investigations into the death of Alexandra Paysova, 17, who was found unconscious on the doorstep of an apartment block in Wilga Street, Paceville, in the early hours of Monday.

Police sources said they have covered a lot of ground and have established the Russian girl's movements and in whose company she was for most of the night she died. However, they still wanted to establish what happened in the final hour before she was found.

The sources said more tests were being made on tissues lifted during the autopsy to ascertain the cause of death. Although it was probable the girl was a drug abuser, it is not yet certain she died of an overdose and it could well be that she died of heart failure, a cause that had nothing to do with drugs.

The girl was found at about 2 a.m. after the police received an anonymous telephone call.

The girl was on holiday with her cousin and a friend and had been here before. She had arrived on July 15 and was due to leave today.
