Caravans at Gnejna Bay

May I, via The Times, alert the appropriate authorities to what is happening in Gnejna Bay.

How this previously picturesque bay has been allowed to become an eyesore is beyond my comprehension, for we now have a caravan and tent city ensconced there - accompanied by all the paraphernalia associated with these units. Some of the tents almost touch the shoreline and the caravans occupy ground previously utilised as parking spaces for a lot of vehicles - thereby reducing the number of people who previously were able to avail themselves of this popular spot.

The situation at Gnejna is dire enough as it is, what with the homemade catacombs and boathouses already utilised as summer dwellings (it would be enlightening to learn what became of the government's proposed plan to crack down on such illegal structures). The situation is now being exacerbated by the monstrosities currently in place, which not only look dreadful and unkempt but also resemble a "fourth world" refugee camp and so should be condemned with immediate effect.

A tape of the comments made by tourists visiting there should be sent to the appropriate minister in order to make the government aware of what is exactly happening. What a laughing stock have we become!

I call upon the relevant authorities to take immediate remedial action to remove this horrendous camp and ensure there will be no repetition in the future.
