A 35-year-old man was fined Lm500 and was conditionally discharged for two years after he admitted to illegally changing a car's registration plates.

Antoine Abela, of Gzira, was also banned from driving for a year as Magistrate Abigail Lofaro heard him plead guilty to driving the car, with the illegal plates, when his driving licence was suspended.

Police Inspector Paul Vassallo prosecuted.
