A motion for the partial revision of the Structure Plan, providing for the extension of the building development zones, goes before the full House of Representatives this morning.

The proposed extension has already been debated within a House committee.

The other items on the agenda of the House are the Social Security Act (Amendt) Bill (second reading); the Constitution (Amendt) Bill, (committee); the Code of Police Laws (Amendt) Bill (second reading); the Insurance Intermediaries Bill (third reading) and the Education Act (Amendt) Bill (third reading).

The Social Security Act (Amendt) Bill, about which the debate on second reading is approaching its end, features the pensions reform while the Constitution (Amendt) Bill, proposes that Gozo will be undivided when electoral boundaries are drawn up. That Bill needs the support of a two-thirds majority of the House in the final stage, the third reading, to become law.

The Public Accounts Committee is this evening due to continue its consideration of the report by the Auditor General on the administration of the Voice of the Mediterranean radio station.
