Football's Premier League standing committee has condemned the Malta Football Association officials involved in the decision over an employee at the Pace Grasso Ground who admitted molesting a 13-year-old boy.

The MFA had not asked the groundsman to resign immediately and the official stayed on until his contract expired.

The Premier League standing committee said in a statement that such a sensitive case had to be handled with the highest responsibility and transparency to safeguard the interests of local football and that of Maltese society.
