The Maltese-Palestinian Friendship Society has called on the government, political parties and NGOs to pressure Israel to stop its escalating aggression against Palestinians and to re-open its borders allowing free movement of people, goods and medication. Israeli occupation itself is an act of violence against Palestinians, the society said.

The society also called on the UN and EU to break their "strange silence" and act immediately to stop the hostilities.
