The second largest cruise liner in the world, the Voyager Of The Seas, will sail into the Grand Harbour tomorrow for its inaugural visit to Malta.

With a gross tonnage of 138,000, the liner was the largest when it entered service in November 1999, until Royal Caribbean International this year launched its latest sailing island - the 160,000-tonne Freedom Of The Seas.

However, the mammoth ship still dominates the seas wherever it sails, providing unique adventures and memorable experiences.

SMS Group Ltd, the local shipping and ground handling agent for Royal Caribbean International, said the ship will be including Malta as a port of call and will be visiting on seven other occasions during the summer months.

The ship, which can accommodate 3,114 guests, is a revolutionary marvel of naval engineering complete with a rock climbing wall, nine-hole miniature golf course, an ice skating rink and the Royal Promenade atrium of shops and restaurants which are open 24 hours, its operators say.

Despite the fact that she can carry so many passengers, she never feels crowded due to her sheer size.

The Voyager Of The Seas has the highest space-per-guest ratio in the cruise market and includes enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and exceptional recreational facilities.
