Frans Pace collected his eighth All Malta success yesterday after topping the classification with 136 points.

Staged at the Malta Shooting Federation ranges in Bidnija over the weekend, the All Malta trap competition was on 125 clays with the top six shooters advancing to the final barrage (25 clays).

The experienced Pace trailed Joe Attard by one clay at the end of the first round but he jumped to the top of the charts after hitting 21 to Attard's 18 in the barrage.

Nazzareno Attard was third on 132, two points behind the second-placed shooter while John J. Aquilina and Noel Attard amassed a total of 131 clays each. Robert Aquilina placed sixth with 130 points.

Joe Attard and George Micallef hit a straight during the competition.

Top six: 1. F. Pace 136 (115+21); 2. J. Attard 134 (116+18); 3. Nazzareno Attard 132 (111+21); 4. J.J. Aquilina 131 (110+21); 5. Noel Attard 131 (113+18); 6. R. Aquilina 130 (109+21).
