The 54th National Maltese film and video competition winners have been announced. The show of winners will take place at the Trade Fair Grounds exhibition hall in Naxxar on Friday at 7 p.m. Attendance is by invitation from any committee member of the Malta Cine Circle. Interested persons should write to the MCC, PO Box 450, CMR Marsa. The jury members were Carmel Bonello, John G. Dacountros, Vincent Lungaro Mifsud and Charles Caruana.

The winner for Best Production was David Serge's Fatal Lead, second prize went to Joshua Cassar Gaspar's Requiem for Love and third place went to Tony Parnis' Dawl Gdid.

Special awards were given to Fatal Lead for Photography and Use of Sound, John Paul Muscat's Soiree opening was rewarded for Editing, the award for Direction went to Chris Azzopardi's Tifkiriet tan-Nannu and Tony Parnis got the Best Minute Movie award for Kull Minuta Tghodd.
