In the feature by Malcolm J. Naudi (The Sunday Times, June 25) CareMalta CEO Alex Tranter is quoted as saying "...Unfortunately, we still have the mentality of elderly parents who want to leave the money they have saved to their children."

I am very fortunate that I have a choice.

Will I give my hard-earned savings to CareMalta, part of the Vassallo Builders Group, or leave the money to my children to help them cope with the financial problems which I am sure they are going to encounter in the future?

Being of sound mind, any further comment is superfluous.
