Adrian Mifsud has returned to Floriana from Sliema Wanderers and this time his stay with the Greens will be for good.

Yesterday, the two Premier League clubs agreed to the deal which sees 31-year-old striker Mifsud putting an end to his uneventful period as a Wanderers player after his move from Hibernians two years ago.

Mifsud was on loan last season with Floriana for whom he scored 15 times in the Premier League. Some of his goals were vital, particularly late in the campaign as Floriana struggled to preserve their status in the Premier League before surging into the final of the FA Trophy where they were beaten by Hibernians 1-0.

Mifsud's move is part of a package that makes Clifton Ciantar's transfer from Floriana to Sliema permanent as well.

Last week, wing-back Ciantar was given the go-ahead to play for the Wanderers for one year on loan with Blues' veteran Joe Brincat moving the other way.

Last week, Mifsud played for Sliema in the Euro Challenge Cup. The matches against Birkirkara and Hibs were his last in a blue shirt.

Meanwhile, Sliema yesterday added more strength-in-depth with the signing of experienced forward Mark Galea.

The much-travelled Galea, who started the 2005/06 season with Valletta before moving to Pietà Hotspurs, is a Floriana FC product.

Galea, 30, was a free-agent. He starts his pre-season with his new club tomorrow.
