In another first for the Maltese market, GlobalCapital has just launched a new investment opportunity that gives Maltese investors access to the international real estate property market.
Distinct from other property funds available, The Property Fund, a sub fund of GlobalCapital Funds SICAV p.l.c. has the possibility of making use of a wide variety of securities related to real estate property. Among these, the fund can make use of other real estate property funds, investments in property management or property financing companies as well as the possibility of investing directly in real estate outside Malta.
Andrew-Neal Farrugia, Assistant General Manager of GlobalCapital Fund Advisors Limited, the company acting as manager to the fund, commented on this launch, "We are aiming to take advantage of the numerous real estate opportunities available around the world. The fund will initially consist of investments in third party property funds as the fund gathers critical mass and depending on market conditions these investments will be complemented by direct real estate investments."
The investment strategy of the fund is to acquire stable growth through investments in real estate securities in mainland Europe while exposing the fund to higher growth potential opportunities in Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America.
