I would like to thank the management of a hotel in Sliema for filling its hotel with students of every nationality every year, without considering the nuisance they are to the neighbours.
They are a nuisance by throwing things from the windows, such as cigarettes, on cars.
They throw wet toilet paper which sticks to everything.
They come back late at night shouting in the streets and, if you try to stop them, they challenge you.
They jump and walk on cars and this I saw with my own eyes. They throw bottles from the top floor and break car windscreens. They play loud music and shout in their rooms, particularly in the afternoons.
I, for one, went to the hotel and complained on several occasions; yet it was useless.
I also reported the matter to the Sliema police station but, unless you catch these youngsters in the act, you cannot prove anything and thus you have to suffer and pay for the damages these students cause out of your own pocket.
