The Malta Aviation Museum at Ta' Qali is a gem. During my recent first visit I was most impressed by the obvious diligence and professionalism that has gone into restoring the exhibits.

Of course seeing a Spitfire is always cause for admiring its beautiful lines. I confess this one tugged at my emotions mightily when I discovered that it is the same EN199 I jumped into as a sprat when it was parked outside the Floriana Scouts Hut. It sparked an ambition that simply had to be fulfilled. All those who started this museum and keep it going should feel justifiably proud, and I thank them for that memory.
