Hats off and congratulations to Ms Lucia Davies for her letter "Floriana's heritage" (The Sunday Times, June 25).
In foreign countries all demarcation zones between towns and villages are always precise and, also, in a similar context, borderline zones between neighbouring countries are taken seriously, so much so that (although this was unfortunate) neighbouring countries are known to have waged wars over such issues.
Evidently enough, this does not always hold true in Malta and, since, as a subject, Floriana's heritage is up for discussion, I would like to ask the relevant authorities why the Tritons Fountain is no longer listed as being in Floriana. To the right, only at a stone's throw away from the fountain, St James Ditch is still (correctly) listed as being in Floriana.
This is further proof, if any were ever needed, that the Tritons Fountain is situated in Floriana and not in Valletta.
