Australian Robbie McEwen sprinted to his third stage win in this year's Tour de France when he claimed the 189-km sixth stage from Lisieux to Vitre yesterday. Italy's Daniele Bennati was second with world champion Tom Boonen, of Belgium, third. Quick Step rider Boonen, who retains his overall leader's yellow jersey, has yet to win a stage in 2006. Today's time trial over 52kms in Rennes should be the first big test of the Tour.
