On June 15, I went to buy something to eat for my children from a kiosk in Sliema. I asked for two packets of Twistees. When I gave the kiosk attendant 20c he asked me for another 10c and I asked why.
He told me that each packet costs 15c. I told him that was overcharging (50 per cent more) and would not take them.
To make matters worse, instead of saying nothing, he told me: "Listen, what do you expect? We are not in Marsa".
This price abuse must be stopped and controlled. If they overcharge the Maltese, I can imagine what they do to tourists!
