About 140 research projects by final year students will be on display in a joint exhibition mounted by the Faculty of Engineering and the board of IT at the University of Malta between tomorrow and Saturday.

The dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Maurice Grech, said that about100 engineering students will shortly be graduating. Additionally, some 50 students will be graduating with a BSc in information technology.

The Faculty of Engineering and the board of IT have between them signed some 30 bilateral agreements with universities all over Europe and the number of students benefiting from exchange programmes has risen rapidly.

"Students studying overseas frequently score exceptionally high marks and rank best among their peers," Prof. Grech said. The projects exhibition at the Engineering Building, Tal-Qroqq, will be open to the public tomorrow and Friday between 5 and 8 p.m. and on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
