STC Training, formerly known as Swatar Training Centre in Dingli, has relocated to a more central, accessible location in Pembroke in order to better serve its increasing student numbers.
The move, which came just 10 days before STC's annual open day on June 29, heralds a new era for the organisation. The building has been renovated to create an ideal IT training centre, explained STC's chief executive Patrick Pullicino.
The new premises also mean the training centre is in a position to expand its intake and offer more course options and greater flexibility in learning programmes.
The annual open day, attended this year by some 600 prospective students and their families, is an opportunity for those interested in pursuing an IT career to learn more about the opportunities opened up by STC's international training programmes.
The centre delivers highly practical yet academically rigorous qualifications designed to give students an international passport to a career in IT and other industries.
STC also runs a summer school for 13 to 17-year-olds with the aim of introducing young people to the breadth and depth of IT as a study option and future career. With some 150 seats booked already, the summer school is nearly fully subscribed.
