Conditional discharge

A company director was yesterday conditionally discharged for three years after he admitted to the misappropriation of Lm24,389 that was owed to the VAT Department.

Magistrate Abigail Lofaro heard how Emanuel Degiorgio, as director of Bad Boy Cleaning Services, had admitted to the misappropriation of the money and that he had paid his dues to the VAT Department.

She also noted that Mr Degiorgio, who had a clean criminal record, cooperated with the police.

Police Inspector Edel Mary Camilleri prosecuted.
