Caritas has so far collected Lm11,258 for people who lost relatives or their homes in the earthquake that hit Indonesia in May.

About 5,500 people had died and more than 20,000 were injured. Some 200,000 persons lost their homes.

Caritas is planning to send the money to Caritas Internationalis shortly and is inviting those who would like to make their donations to do so as soon as possible.

Donations should be given to parish priests or handed over to Caritas in Floriana.

Cheques can be sent to Caritas Malta Fond Indonesja, Caritas (Malta) 5, L-Iljun Street, Floriana.
