Asciak advances in Aarhus
Matthew Asciak extended his rich vein of form from Copenhagen to Aarhus where he is taking part in an ITF tournament for U-18s.
Yesterday, he reached the third round after a straight sets win over Niels Grinderslev. The Dane was beaten 6-1 6-2. In the first round, Asciak lost the first set to Briton Edward Jones 6-4, but recouped his energies to win the next two sets 6-1 6-3.
Last week, Asciak reached the semi-finals of a similar world tournament in the Danish capital.
