The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) yesterday referred to recent adverts and articles regarding The Malta International Art Fund Ltd and said that such an entity is not a company registered in Malta and is not regulated under Maltese financial services and company legislation.

The MFSA urged the public who have been contacted by or have contacted the The Malta International Art Fund Ltd to treat its offers with the utmost caution, to analyse any documentation provided by it with great care and vigilance, and to seek professional advice before committing funds for investment.

Anyone who transacts with The Malta International Art Fund Ltd may not be protected by the local financial services legislative and regulatory framework, the MFSA said.
