The Broadcasting Authority has issued a warning over advertisements of alcoholic drinks that have appeared before 9 p.m. on the Sports Channel and the Weather and Information Channel of Melita Cable.

It ordered Melita not to repeat the offence. The BA's executive head said the channels had breached the Broadcasting Act and the Guidelines on Alcoholic Drinks since the commercials for a brand of beer were aired before 9 p.m.
